Hey all, quick question... How long does it typically take to get C&R from BATF? I don't just mean application approval but the application forms themselves. I put in for some a couple of weeks off the website and nothing has come.

    Thanks,
    Bob

    Bob,

I mailed in my application on 24 Nov 06. They cashed my check on 28 Nov 06.

My license was mailed to me 12 Feb 07.

I had letters going out to the various online retailers by 16 Feb 07.:D:D:D

    Hope this helps.

    Doug

It should take less than a week. i think I got the forms in 4-6 days. The license, however, took 110 days.

I thought about getting a C&R until I read the local leo and ammo inspection requirements. I'm not finding the info where I read it but having a C&R, you are subject to inspections every 12 or 18 months at your site or the atf's and one of the things in the license said that your ammo was subject to inspection as well. The problem I have with notifying your cleo is what if they come to serve you with warrant for unpaid parking tickets or something totally unrelated to guns. Will they come armed to the hilt because your one of those gun nuts?
