Buying a gun while living out-of-state

Like the title says, I'm wanting to pick up a compact pistol for carry, but I'm currently living in Texas. I'm still an Indiana resident so I can't buy a gun here. Anyone know if I can buy one in Indiana and just have it shipped to me? Any help would be appreciated!

When you're home you can buy one. Then have it shipped to you to take it back with you, when you return to TX.

you have to be in Indiana to fill out the 4473 since you are an Indiana resident.

OP is living in TX but an IN resident. Ok, but that presumes residency is correct. If OP is living in TX for an extended time, perhaps OP is really a TX resident. A lot of factors to consider, but a valid change of residency is actually not difficult. May cost a little money, new DL for example, but a lot easier than changing citizenship!

Buy it and Indiana and when you travel back to Texas, take it with you.
