I was curious what your thoughts are on some of the cheap .223 ammo(such as brown bear). It looks like its steel ammo, and i have read a couple things that say its dirty. But, its also as low as .25/per. I know I can buy 1000 rounds of new ammo for roughly 430 and i believe its not steel.

At $95 for 500 rounds, one can clean the gun a little more if needed.

I've shot a LOT of brown bear. Occasionally I'll get a round that does not fire (hard, hard primer). It is a little dirtier than Fiochi or Winchester; but, does not quite leave the mess Wolf does.

It's perfect range ammo for the price, really.

I've shot 500 rds through 3 different ARs without issue. (most through a RRA CL barrel) It is not the most accurate stuff but it has good power (more juice than wolf). My thoughts on any ammo is to buy a little of it and see how it works. If the function & accuracy are good for the price stock up.
