I've tried those huge broadheads on a turkey hunt in kansas but switched back to regular montecs because after 10-15 yards they were all over the place. My buddy did shoot two birds with them though and they put them down fast!

Schwacker cuts big enough...if you've got enough bow. This one was with a Wicked Rudge crossbow and over 90 foot pounds of KE..

Yep... Go with big cutting heads you best have enough Umpphh to push it through...

Yup, and too many think bow poundage the only determiner of "oomph".

Power stroke, bow design, momentum, quality of arrow flight, FOC (minimized deflection under load).

Most folks only know KE to a basic level (but hey it sells bows in the shops).

And they seem to think larger cut = nothing but positive benefits.

    Aint nothing for free.

Like the old Leupold Optics Triangle= "Magnification, Field of View, Eye Relief", they're all connected.

In broadheads it might be "depth, width and shape" of cut.

We can even look further into........length and angle of blade, number of blades, type and angle of bevel, degrees of sharpness etc.

    This per mech and fixed.

It can be a huge array for testing, and biased by delivery quality and systems.

Bottom line, pick something of generally proven durability, moderate cut and put it on the best flying arrow you can make/deliver. And shove it through your deer.
