I am looking for a good range or gun club close to home. I have a list of all ranges but I am looking for one that stands out. I would like to shoot clays/skeet and my pistol and was wondering if that all exists in one place?:dunno:

The Brownsburg Conservation Club is good for trap shooting. No rifles/pistols, though.

MCF&G is the closest to do both pistol and trap (handgun caliber rifles, too).

Danville CC has a nice little pistol/rifle range, but no trap/skeet/clays.

Not much else in the 5-mile radius, that I know of.

Within 5 miles? Are you riding a bicycle?

I'd love to find a range within 5 miles of me that had facilities for 3gun practice.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of houses and not that many ranges.

Yeah, I get it but there are so many within a 25 mile radius I'm just trying to stay more or less near home and on the West Side.

There is a Twin Bridges Skeet Club in Danville. Any feedback on them?

I forgot all about them. Never been there myself, so no feedback.

I wonder if the Danville PD has opened their range to the public yet? I need to dig through my PM's and find the exchange I had with their RO. It would be pistol-only, I'm pretty sure, if it was open.

Seems to be hard to find someplace that "has it all" - shotguns, rifles (rifle calibers), and handguns.

    Wildcat Valley Rifle and Pistol:

300 yd High power range, trap and skeet ranges, 6 or 8 pistol ranges, 100 yd ranges, silhouette range, etc.

Course, you'll have to drive longer than 5 minutes.

The Crawfordsville Gun Club has it all. Everything except full auto and I believe no tracers.

FYI, The Crawfordsville Gun Club is located in Crawfordsville ;)

Changed maybe a year or so ago, only PCR's though. NO Rifle calibers allowed as there is too much around the range.

It's been several years- if it's on the approved caliber list, it's allowed by the club in any platform.

"5.15.1. Handguns and rifles in traditional handgun calibers from .25 ACP up to and including
    .500 S&W magnum are allowed. .17 HMR, .17 Mach 2, .22LR, and .22 MAG are also
allowed. This list is not comprehensive; please see the website for the definitive list."

Come to a board meeting and join up. It's worth it.
