Actually I got some for Christmas from my girlfriend. It didnt seem to taste like bacon, but it does smell like old bacon grease. She also got me some peppered bacon seasoning salt. It tasted pretty good on popcorn, since that is the only thing iIhave really cooked with it.

Edit: it was this actual brand too...

I bet bacon salt would be awesome in things like, green beans, ham n beans, even mashed potatoes. I might have to buy this package.

Like I said, I have only used it on popcorn, but it was good. I went ahead and bought one since I can. I am curious about the cheddar salt though...
