Avon student accused of ‘showing off’ gun to other students on bus

AVON, Ind. – Police confiscated at handgun after a student showed it to other classmates on an Avon school bus.

According to Avon Community School Corporation, the incident happened Monday morning. Two students exiting a bus at Avon Intermediate School East reported a fellow student had been showing off a handgun to others.

We used to do stuff like this in Elementary school back in the 80s. Only with throwing stars and knives. If we got caught the teacher would just tell us to leave in our backpack and not to bring it back in. We never had any thoughts of hurting anyone with them. We just wanted to show off to our buddies and garner cool points

We have stuff like this, yet the schools are RABIDLY against the Eddie Eagle program, simply because it is attached to the evil NRA. SMH

Guys would go hunting before school, their rifles were in a rifle rack, in their truck, on school property…. No shootings, no killing.. During my fifth grade class, our school principal brought in his collection of old black powder rifles, and pistols.. the first time I ever saw a Miquelet lock in the wild

Real HIGH taxes on any house that doesn't have wheels on it or a mean ol coon dog on the front porch.

Over a third of the county is owned by the feds and they don't pay tax so we have to kick in extra...

Nothing like this happened when I rode the bus. I for one would have had a high level of confidence that my father would have administered some really solid correction to my arse.
