How old is the scuttlebutt? The range was closed for less than 1 yr. approximately 1 1/2 yrs. ago. I hope that is the word that you were getting, I certainly hope that the current staff keeps it up and running.

The group that was operating it quit and it sat for a while until they were able to find another operator. The people doing it now seem solid. Hopefully, it'll stay open continually now.

There was some concern that when the Army traded land to the IN DNR, that they might take over the range. But that was never in the plans and the land that the Army has will not impact the range.
