SPECIAL ATTENTION: Firearms Instructors, Protective Agents, Detectives,
On April 23-24, 2008 the Boone County, Indiana Sheriff’s Department is again hosting an Armed Vehicle Operations (AVOPS©) course instructed by Kenneth Vogel, Captain of Police (retired) which will be held at the Boone County IN Sheriff’s Department Training Center range and classroom facility at 1905 Indianapolis Ave. Lebanon, IN.
This two day dynamic, real-world applied tactics and live fire instruction is approximately 16 hours in duration and will include extensive use of force exercises.
The instruction will provide the student with the academic tools and hands-on skills, that prepare the high-risk street officer, security specialist and/or military operator with the appropriate responses and counter measures to defeat an armed threat during
mobile duties, by the lawful, safe and efficient deployment of a pistol and to effectively gunfight in a vehicle environment. Please refer to Flash Intro Page for a complete overview, equipment list and schedule of events.
At the satisfactory conclusion of the training, the student shall receive a training certificate to document his/her successful attendance to this unique use of force conference. Indiana LEO will receive 16 hours of Indiana Law Enforcement Training Board approved training. (Read: “POST” approved training.)
