That title is just a bit misleading. They still have to pass the classes/earn the required amount of credits/etc, they just don't have to take an exit exam. Sounds about like let's say Indiana.

I was more referring to the other items that exist in that list of new laws.

That won't be abused at all, great idea too, it's like democracy an stuff. Other people get to decide your rights based on their whims. Sounds neat!

Something else that's telling: along with the ambiguous graduation law there was a list of other prominent laws coming into effect. Several of them refer to "forcing" people to do things.

Uh, this could probably use it's own thread... but something happening in Oregon.

Report: Militia has occupied building at Malheur National Wildlife Refuge outside Burns. Splinter group of militia have occupied the headquarters building at Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. Group includes Ammon Bundy.

Ammon Bundy and others broke off from other militiamen after peaceful parade. Among them is Ryan Payne, who helped the Bundys in Nevada.

Ammon Bundy said in Facebook video they have taken over refuge to use as militia base for years. Called patriots from U.S. to come.

Militia also apparently planning to seize BLM fire station near Frenchglen. Station is used in summer by wildfire crews. Closed now.

... so, yeah, an armed insurrection going on in Oregon
