Unless specified, you should assume the BCG for sale or included with a rifle is not an M16 variety. I'm certain they cost more than a SP1 type BCG. Difference between M16 and AR15 Bolt Carriers. - AR15.COM Personally, I prefer the M16 type BCG because I am a fan of militaria, which is why I bought the Colt 6920LE.
