I have an RRA LAR-15 with fixed front sights and I was wondering if anybody knows of any way to replace that with something else instead of those sights. I would rather have flip up front sights or use my flat top with no scope risers

You would need to replace the front sight tower (A-frame) with:

    1) a gas block/flip-up front sight combo unit such as VLTOR or YHM

    or

    2) a railed gas block to which you could mount the flip-up front sight of your choice

Its a piece of cake......I did just that exact thing a few days ago. Replaced the front sight with the folding front sight / gas black from YHM. Took me about 20 min. All you need is the right tools and a little time.

Remove the bolt and carrier from the upper reciever
    Remove the handguard
    Remove flash suppressor
Drive out the gas tube roll pin and pull the gas tube back (be careful not to bend it or booger it up)
Drive out the 2 pins staking the sight post in place
Slide the sight base off the barrel
    Install your new gas block
