    Thinking about an ar pistol

Why not?....Maybe a step toward an SBR

Where is the best place in So Indiana that I can walk in and buy an AR pistol lower?

Anywhere sell them?, or are they usually special order.

I want it marked "PISTOL ONLY" also

I've recently built two AR pistols and bought one pistol and gone the route of SBRing all three of them. You start with the pistol and then add the stock once you get the tax stamp. If you have it say "Pistol Only" are you planning to remove that if you go the SBR route?

You should check out the class 3 section for more help in the Pistol / SBR area.

Must be nice to have the SBR option as here in Michigan they are a big no no. But I also am interested in making an AR Pistol my first build marked pistol or not IMO it would make a fun plinker with a .22 conversion kit.

I want the pistol only lower so I can have a short upper laying around (on it) without having to deal with the "intent" issues.
probally would actually SBR another lower then move the upper to it and keep the "pistol only" lower around for the above reasons if I want to buy another short upper.

Just dont have a stock or forward grip in the house and rock the pistol out. as long as the receiver is transferred to you as receiver you are golden.

Well, I already have an 18" ar and an extra complete ar rifle lower in the house, so I suppose if I just had a complete pistol I would be ok, I just shouldnt have any sub 16" lowers laying around if I have an incomplete rifle lower also laying around.

    Stupid laws:ar15:
