I apologize if this has been covered in a different thread. I just finished building my first AR over the winter and am very much in love with it. That being said, I read somewhere about having to deal with "feed lip creep" on AR magazines, and other problems (mag spring weakening, etc.). I have had handgun mags that have been left fully loaded all winter and functioned perfectly. As a matter of fact, last summer, I found a fully loaded USP mag under the seat of my car that had been left for almost three years. Took it to the range and had no problems whatsoever.

I always try to dump my storage mags first when I am at the range. However, it's not possible to take every gun to the range as often as I would like. So I'll leave it to you guys. Do I need to rotate which mags are loaded periodically? Monthly? Weekly?
