So i bought another stripped lower a few weeks ago. its an off band just intended to be a cheap shooter ar. I had just finnished putting the lpk in and when i went to attach my sock the hole drilled in the back (below the treading for stock and next to detent spring hole) is a circle not the typical oval. it holds the end plate (colapable stock) that holds the detent spring in place.

is this circle compatable with another style of stock or did i get hosed on the lower.

What "off brand" is the lower?

Your best bet is to find an endplate with a circular "bump" or modify an oval one to fit. Secondary to that, you could have a machinist widen the opening in the lower to accept your endplate.

well thanks for checking. not sure what Im gunna do yet. it was only 100 bucks for the lower so I don't want to have to put a lot of money in it to fix it. i might try to contact the company but to me it looks like they made it that way on purpose. so i thought that there was a style of stock i was un aware of.
