This didn't seem to fit in "Carry Issues" or "Accessories & Gear" and I wasn't sure where it belonged... but I have a question about wallet-type holsters.
If one has the entire trigger area exposed (so that you can shoot while the gun is still holstered), is this considered an "Any Other Weapon"??
Please provide source links with answers.
    Thanks.

I found this https://www.indianagunowners.com/forums/accessories_and_gear/179729-does_this_look_dangerous_to_anyone_else.html. From the looks of it, it can depending on barrel placement in the holster, if it fires through a hole or if it fires above the holster.

    From your thread linked:
" AOW is a concealable weapon that is not recognizable as a conventional
    pistol or revolver"
I'm not talking about one that you can see the slide above the top of the holster.
What if on one side, you could see the grip...
But on the other, you couldn't see anything but the trigger and a cut out for the ejection port (the barrel not being exposed at all)?

From my understanding of the text in the links provided, a fully shrouded gun that only has the trigger exposed, is an AOW.
    Is this correct?

I believe if the holster becomes part of the firearm (ie North American Wallet Holster NAA-WH 22lr NEW : Holsters / Gun Leather at GunBroker.com), the firearm is an AOW. The grips are removed from the revolver, and the leather is bolted on around the firearm.

Nope. I only altered it when I read the thread about Christmas avatars. I misunderstood it to mean "Keep your original...just Christmasify it"...which seemed more fun to me.
    But whatevs.
I like the seasonal thing you brought up, though... Hmmm...

I don't think these are made anymore for some reason.
    I think Pachmayr made them.

The grip is replaced with the shroud concealing the gun.
It is a neat idea and keeps your reload handy.
