Anyone ever taken Phentermine?

As the title states, anyone ever taken Phentermine for weight loss?

I'm very interested to hear if you INGOers have ever been prescribed this and if it helped you with weight loss and what the side effects were.

Never even heard of it until now. My only question though is that it appears to be an appetite suppressant; so would one have to continue taking this medication forever to avoid regaining the weight? The problem with trying to lose weight is that pills and "diets" don't work long-term, you have to permanently change your eating habits and exercise habits.

Yes, i have. perscribed speed,you will lose weight,but when you stop taking it the weight will climb back on. You have to change your eating lifestyle and exercise. There is no magic pill. I wish there was.

My old man is on it now and has lost 35lbs in two months. He seems to like it. Said he was jittery for about 3-4 days when he first started taking it.

if there was pill that actually worked, would there be any fat people?

enjoy losing ten pounds and then being addicted to a controlled substance. watch the weight come right back when/if you quit taking it.

Bigum, do you drink regular soda?

The quickest 20lbs of my so-far 50 lost this year were the first 20. I attribute that mostly to cutting out all regular soda and their accompanying calories (and sugar...)
