I haven’t had an intelligent thought in years. In for the real responses.Equities are on sale, thinking or transferring some bond funds into stock, namely small value. Any intelligent thoughts?
S&P just went through its 200 day moving average. There is essentially no floor on this downturn right now. I would wait until it comes back through that level to get back in. That is plenty of time and will not cost you that much in potential gains while eliminating the possibility you ride a new investment down another 10 or 12%Equities are on sale, thinking or transferring some bond funds into stock, namely small value. Same here. Although I am a little more nervous than I used to be since I would like to retire in about 3.5 years.I'm still putting money into my 401K and IRAs monthly just like normal. Figure it'll all come out in the wash.
Yeah, I've still got 12 years until I get to "retirement age" of 67, so I have time to hopefully get some of it back.Same here. Although I am a little more nervous than I used to be since I would like to retire in about 3.5 years.
NopeAtacand, just like that, the market is back. Warning dip, perhaps?
Holy cow... DOW down almost 800 this morning.Nope
Up $38.74 as of 14:27.Looks like some support at 4300, but I wouldn't bet on it holding. More likely an artifact of programmed trading. Tune in about 3:30 to watch it sell off and burn the 'buy the dip' dips yet again
