Considering an American Classic Trophy 1911. Not sure if I can/should post a link to the manufacturer's website, but if you BING IT (do NOT Google it) then you'll find it.

It's a nice looking 1911 and has the ambi safety (yes, I'm a lefty).

To celebrate the 100 year anniversary of the 1911, I WILL purchase one. Just trying to decide what to get. I really want the Ruger SR1911, but I am about to give up on finding one.

    Looking for comments/reviews/suggestions.

    Thanks!

I have the Gov't Model and love it. For a "cheaper" 1911, it is a very nice shooter. I have no complaints about mine at all.

I also picked up a 1911 this year, then another, and another, and yep one more. They were all different, so i did not buy the same pistol, at least that's how i justify it to myself.
