Another new Mosin on the rack

My son just picked up a Westinghouse built (1915) Mosin that has Finnish stampings on it for $109 down at Bradis. Overall, it looks pretty good, with nice rifling. The stock is beat up a bit, and the bluing is mostly gone, but it looks good. It's interesting to see the differences in the M91 vs. the 91/30 and later models. The machine work is much better than the others as are the barrel bands. I'll post photos once we get some taken.

That is a great price on a SA marked Westinghouse M91. Good find. Waiting to see pics.

Sounds Sweet. I am going to have to make the trip to Bradis when I have some extra money. I keep hearing great things about that place.

Right now, he is just planning on a good cleaning. It has a nice patina to it that gives it a 'war relic' look. I'll try to get some pics here in the next hour or so.

i picked up a mosin 91/30 in friendship indiana for $60.it looked like the biggest piece of crap ive ever seen in my life.i sanded it down and refinished the stock and re blued it.its so perfect now my friends want to buy it.

They do look nice once cleaned up of all the old crap shellac and cosmoline. I did that to my M38, M44 and 91/30 and they all came out pretty well.

thats a nice collection of mosins yall got there.thats what i love about these guns.you can find them relatively cheap leave em be or clean em up and shoot the hell outta them.i dont care what anybody says this is a great gun to mess around with.
