My cousin captured a similar scene flying home from my brother's wedding in Aruba a few years ago:
I used to love living in Orlando. I could watch the shuttles lift off from my house if the weather was right.
Cool..... I used to work in a machine shop on the east side of Indy that made alot of shuttle, satellite and missle parts. They were the only ones to make the SSME (space shuttle main engine) intake manifolds (easy description).
It was pretty cool to touch things that had been to space. Even Astronaut Mark Brown, a Hoosier from Purdue came in a few times for tours and drop off mission stickers and such.....
Its a shame the shuttle program is coming to an end...
I don't think I ever did take any pics, it was kinda just routine for me at the time so I never gave it any thought.
