    Hey guys,

Now that I have a little bit of free time, I am working to finish my AK build with a virgin barrel. I have the rear sight block and gas black where I want them. However, I am not so sure about the front sight. Currently I am using a magnetic angle finder to to position the front sight block relative to the rear. Pictures can be seen below. Based on this, I am getting a cant of 1 degree or less. First, does this seem like a reasonable method for aligning the sight blocks. Second, what is an acceptable cant between the sight blocks? I also welcome any tips people might have.

That is what I use to install iron sights and scopes. I get zero deviation.

One degree off is not acceptable to me. With the tall front sight, one degree is a lot at 300 yards.

It might be acceptable to you. I don't judge.
