I just got my fathers 97 12 g with a 30" full choke barrel any idea what they worth not really interested in selling just feeling the waters

It all depends on age and condition...

Anywhere from $100 for a POS to pushing quadruple digits for a fantastic all original example

There are so many Winchester 97's around the likelihood of it being worth more than $500 is very slim. Most run in the $300-$500 range. As noted above the exception would be all original and in excellent condition.

Also adding to the equation are the chambering and if its a take-down model or not.
