What is everyone using for 6.5 Creedmoor hunting ammo? Practically everything is sold out around Fort Wayne and online. I won't be shooting over 200 yards.

The 120-140gr ELD-M works great on whitetail, as would most any soft point/hunting bullet.
For deer, any hunting bullet will work. I was listening to a podcast where they were in Africa using 6.5 on plains game. The ammo was standard S & B soft point. It took everything without fail. Even the bigger game.

If you're interested, I can find the episode and post it here.

That would be awesome! Thanks for the help!

I'm not sure what podcast system you use. (I use Google podcast.) But search for Going Ballistic with Ryan Cleckner. Episode 57 on July 22, 2018 called Live from Africa.

And if hunting podcasts are something of interest to you, also listen to the 4 part Colorado Elk Hunt, episodes 92-95. It's fantastic.

I bought some S&B soft point 140gr ammo when I bought my Creedmoor. Shot great, half MOA and I watched a buddy of mine drop a Eland at 400yds with them. Definitely a great load. I finally got all the components to load myself and still have about 36 rounds left. If I don’t end up getting rid of them, I will see what they do on whitetail…

This is my 100 yard grouping with a 50 yard zero. I used Norma 140 grain soft point ammo. I am extremely happy with the way this round performs.

    6.5 Creedmoor 129 gr. InterLock® American Whitetail®

I've used this ammo for the last 3 years and taken at least one deer from 75 to 200 yards from my Ruger American Predator. each season. It shoots flat and true. It has hit hard and expanded enough that most deer are down within 20 yards if I do my part.

Good luck, I'm a big fan of the 6.5 for deer.

So far, I love this round! I can't wait to test it out to 200 yards.

The Hornady American Whitetail 129 grain is a great factory round.
Nosler 120 ballistic tip or 130 accubond also.
Berger factory ammo with 130 hybrid works too.
    Good luck!

RMR has blemished 6.5 mm 140 grain bonded SP bullets available for around $0.30 apiece for anyone that is looking for 6.5 mm bullets to reload.

I'm gonna use my 140 bthp. I remember that podcast of Ryan's. Just proves my point if you can shoot you don't need a cannon to kill something. I've got some 140 accubonds loaded up that I had for my elk hunt I had to cancel but not sure how that would do on deer might just pencil through
