Kids will eventually learn they live in a nanny-state country, as they grow up, with an understanding they can only do what their government allows them to do; in this case, shoot bubbles of fun at each other. This is absurd.

Secure that happiness kid! LOCK IT UP!

    More threatening children.

...two 6-year-old boys were suspended while playing cops and robbers during recess and using their fingers to make an imaginary gun.

And on Tuesday, a school went under lock-down because a teacher spotted a neon green Nerf gun. A SWAT team was dispatched, the school was locked down and all the rooms were searched for this neon green toy.

And these gun control zealots claim that gun owners are the paranoid ones.

Unbelievable. The Onion can't even make up stuff like this. People like that shouldn't have control over a pet rock.

I always enjoy reading these stories from other states since I work at a school. It amazes me that these schools are overreacting to the extreme (10 days for the Hello Kitty gun that wasn't even with the student?!). I try to operate under the principle of common sense. So sad for the world these kids are growing up in and being educated.

    Just around the corner.
All schools have carried this too far. Not only this, but schools have tried to intervene in what kids do off school properties, at home, and everywhere else. This is an outrage, schools are for kids to learn, not to take control of kids lives. Any school teachers here, STAY OUT OF THE KIDS LIVES!
