What have you ended up with for 45 Colt loads for double action shooting?
    Bullet weights, velocity, revolvers models?

I've found that bullets extending deep into the case provide better results with smokeless even though there's a greater leap into the chamber throats. By example, a hollow base wadcutter turned around to provide a solid plain base.

My favorite load is a 200 gr lead RNFP over 5.4 gr of Trail Boss OAL 1.585". I use it in Bond derringer, SW 25, Ruger Blackhawk, Marlin 94. Just a fun load to shoot, no idea on the velocity. You can go hotter, but the hotter you go, the less fun it is. Trail Boss is good for mild loads.

My steady 45 Colt load has been a 260 grain rnfp cast mold from Accurate Mold sized .452 and lubed with ALOX.Sits on 8 grains of Unique. This works well in everything, Colt New Service DA revolvers and SAAs.
