    at freedoom munitions 240.29 for 500 rounds
    is that a good deal? im new to the gun world and not sure of the difference between fmj and round nose. just thought id pass it on to others

    That's a little salty, in my opinion - but people have paid more lately, I'm sure.
    "FMJ" (full metal jacket) describes a layer (jacket) of copper that covers the projectile. "Round nose" describes the shape of the projectile itself. Some projectiles are both FMJ and round nose, while some are neither.

    Well it depends. Are they lead round nose, plated, or fmj? You can't really contrast round nose which is the shape of the bullet with the material from which it is made or covered with. Lead round nose is just lead. Plated has a thin copper plating and fmj has a thicker copper covering. This is a little oversimplification but is the general idea.
