Can you share some examples of the prices you were paying for .22 lr before all the panic set in? I don't buy it often enough to have a feel for what's reasonable once the shelves start filling up again. The few times I've seen them on the shelf recently CCI MINI-MAG's were something like $37.95 for Qty. 375.

Pretty sure I was buying the Federal 550 bulk packs at Wally World for $18.99, pre-panic. My last buy was a definitely pre-panic private sale from a gentleman who was unloading his stock of .22LR in order to buy something else. I think I bought 20 boxes @$15 each.

I was buying the Federal AutoMatch 325rd packs for $13.95 and CCI SV 100rd packs for either $7.95 or 9.95, can't remember that one to well. All I know is I wish that I could find some now! :xmad:

CCI Mini Mags are premium rounds, they always cost more, usually at least $7 per 100.

You are unlikely to find 22lr bulk packs without camping out. You may as well buy the premium rounds at a premium price for now, instead of having none.

I bought Remington 550 for under $20 with a mail-in rebate at Gander Mountain. Got six brick at that price. Just saw that Cheaper Than Dirt has Aquila .22LR for $35 and change. Course, you also have to pay shipping. About double the pre-panic price, but it is the only site with ammo that I have found recently.

Around $18 ~ $25 a brick Fed, Rem, Win etc. at Rural King, they usually had it on sale every month or two. Aquila Hyper velocity at $30 at GS.

You can still get a brick of Bulk Federal (525rds) from Walmart for $20 if you get lucky and find it on the shelf.

I was getting 525 rounds packs of Remington Golden Bullet .22lr at GM for $18.99 with a $4.00 mail in rebate. No limit. I am SO glad I stocked up when that deal was going.

Before the panic I would only buy them on sale. Big R usually had sales on the remmington hollow point boxes for $19.89 for 525 rounds every couple months. I'd always buy a brick. If I knew this madness was coming I would've stocked up. Running low, but refuse to pay $70 for the exact same box at a gun show. That's a 350% mark-up. I'll pass.

I still have a couple bricks of Remington Thunderbolts with the $8.99 price tag on them.

ZX Guns up in Goshen has CCI standard velocity for $30 for 500 count, or same price for jacketed high velocity for 375 count.

    Man, it's times like these that I'm so glad I bought a .17hmr instead of a .22.

I am so sorry you guys are having so much trouble finding ammo. I work at a Dick's, and somehow all the ammo we get is sold out within 5 minutes of arriving. Which is mind-boggling considering the 3-box limit.

Everything has been sold out for the last 3 weeks except for .17hmr. We have TONS of that. (at least we did 4 days ago when I last checked up at the ammo counter, I work in a different part of the store.)

I have enough to last me for a while since moving here to Indiana I have not had a place to shoot. I really do not think I will be in a panic to buy any time soon. What has been going on recently made me turn my eye to other things for a while. I guess I am too old to panic buy anything. I do not even buy green bananas.
