223 hornady TAP is my choice for damage and wont over penetrate, xm93 or m855 ball are basic suprlus rounds, nothing special, the actual caliber its self are extremely close but there is a difference hence why there are 223 only barrels and 223/5.56 barrels, either way i dont want to get shot by any bullet doesnt matter what caliber

The actual projectile is going to be the deciding factor in this. The differences in velocity are trivial.
