Looking for opinions on what sight/scope to put on a 22 auto pistol w/ 6" barrel. Would like to hunt some with it and do alot of informal plinking. Should I go with a red dot or reg. pistol scope? Don't have alot of extra cash to spend, would like to keep it under $50. I know I do not like the big BSA sights...Too bulky....:dunno:

I'm looking at something like this for my 22A. It's worth a shot anyways..

Better to spend a few extra dollars and get a good scope. Check over on rimfirecentral.com and see what the flavor of the month is there. I chose an ultradot based on recommendation from that website and can shoot 1" groups at 25 yards with my 22a

There are probably decent red dots out there under $50 but IMHO better not to skimp when it comes to optics.
