I was at Franklin (Ind.) Walmart today. Guess what? No .22 ammo at all. Talked to the department manager and she said they haven't seen any for 6 weeks. About all I saw was shotgun shells!:(

    There's a shortage on 22 ammo?

    :runaway:

No shortage at my house. I'm not shooting as much as I did last year, but I've still got a little over 8k rounds, and I feel like I'm running out.
When/if prices become reasonable again, buy a bulk pack here, two there, just whenever you have a few extra bucks.

No shortage here either, last inventory I found a brick of .22 shorts and that put me over the 16,000 mark. Shoot up some when the weather breaks and then start stocking up again for when the next shortage comes.

I like this. I now have something to do with my 50cal can. When prices come down and it becomes available, I will make my goal to fill it!:)

I'd recommend filling 30 cal cans. .22lr packs pretty tight and you'd be surprised how much heavier a can full of 22lr is vs larger rounds. If memory serves me right I fit 6 bricks (3,300 rounds) into a 30 cal can. I am thinking 9 bricks went into a 50 cal can, it was definitely at least 8.

Good point. Maybe I'll leave it all in the boxes so I can just grab a box when I go shooting. That way I won't have to lift it!:)

If you can't replace what you shoot, there's a shortage. It doesn't matter how much you have stocked up for yourself.

Just went looking for some tax papers and found an unopened brick of Remmy sub sonics with a $15.00 price tag on it. How long ago could that have been? Now up to 16.5K. One of these days the grandson will lower that number big time.

I have about 3500 rounds. It's going to suck to start replacing it as I use it. Hopefully this panic buying crap will go away and it will be more fun to shoot.
