I did the SBR thing years ago... on a Spikes lower.
It's been through a few changes, but I've settled on an 11.5" Sig 516 upper.

my upper is ready to go. Ballistic advantage 8.5” 300blk with a q trash panda suppressor and eotech xps3 (I’ll wait for the lower to be done and it’s sbr stamp to come back before posting any pictures)

Pretty nice. When I travel, the short barrel + folding stock makes it very easy to pack away in a bag.
