Like that has a chance to pass

Re-take the house with as few non-squishes as possible, keep the senate and keep Trump. That and many other desirable things would be possible (before, of course, Trump inevitably turns into Sauron and begins forging the one ring)

You would need 60 seats in the Senate. At that point, MAYBE.

People calling for censorship, are surprised when they are censored.

Certified crazy person Laura Loomer showed up outside Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey's house in the middle of the night last night and yelled for him to come out and meet her.

So, tech companies in the past have used the argument that they are not responsible for content posted. That other people are posting it, and that they can not possibly police it all.

But, now that they are banning various "right wingers", does that not imply that they are in the business of "policing" their site.
And now, they should be responsible for EVERY SINGLE post. Maybe get fined millions for each occurrence?

So, who appointed the judges that would try any case attempting to fine or otherwise punish them? Which circuit would try such cases? How much delay and how many appeals are possible before any definitive results. How likely is the 9th to grant pre-emptive stays on this issue prior to arguments, esp. when such stays would not be helpful to the 'resistance'?

And all the while conservative voices will be silenced. Stop me if you've heard this one - this will not be fixed in chambers, it will be fixed at the ballot box

IMO saying 'the courts should do something' is equivalent to saying 'someone else should do something'. It's not going to pan out

Getting dangerously close to the government getting involved in places like Twitter/Facebook/etc.

Good thing: It might finally kill these outlets.
Bad thing: Obviously, the government getting involved.

I agree. I don't like government getting involved.
But, they used a reason to keep the government out before, and now they are ignoring that reason.

One place where free markets consistently fail to direct companies towards societal benefit is in monopolies. We are simply relearning that lesson.

But it's perfectly fine for government to get involved if you refuse to bake a cake. Social media outlets either need to bake the damn cake or shut down altogether. But here's the thing. Social media is a multi-billion dollar industry. I guaran-damn-tee you that if a bakery was a multi-billion dollar industry, they wouldn't be forced to bake the cake. Cue Leadeye...

She could use a few lessons on proper muzzle discipline, but if the story actually played out the way it's being reported, I hope the school gets slapped down hard for this nonsense.

    ^^^^^^This^^^^^^

But she should be slapped and the guy who took the picture should be kicked in the butt.
