So it turns out that I'm just not a 1911 guy. I gave it my all, but in the end I just want my plastic fantastic guns. The gun runs like a champ. Whoever said that 1911s were unreliable obviously never tried a MC OP. I've even put literal sludge into the gun and it still fired. The only time I could get it to malfunction was when I put sludge in it AND put under powered reloads in, and even then it only gave a stove pipe or two. A good 1500 rds through the gun without a single malfunction (except the purposely induced ones of course). Springer of course extends all lifetime warranties to all owners of their firearms, so, were an issue to develop, you're covered.
