    I called in sick to work Monday, first sick day I've taken in 9 years. I think it was worth it. About 10 minutes before sunup I look to my left and see 5-6 does with this guy standing in the middle of them, about 50 yards away. One shot from the 44 carbine jellied his lungs and he ran 50 yards before falling down dead. I don't have a scale but this buck is huge! Hanging from my rafters his head is on the ground. He must have weighed 200lbs dressed out, I almost couldn't get him loaded up alone.

    And here's the scrape he was standing in when I shot him. When I found this scrape I knew I was going to have a good hunt!

    Now the question for me is should I get him mounted...

    Great buck! Though you might want to remove this post seeing how you called in "sick" to go hunting, your employer might be less than pleased...
