My LCP was shipped back to RUGER with an off center firing pin strike.... Within 9 days of the shipping date, I had the gun at my front doorstep, with a brand new slide. Considering the shipping was over night on the way there, and 2 days on the way back, They had it less than a week.

Always willing to be polite, and help on the phone, I give Ruger a standing slow clap.

Not turning this into a Ruger bashing: What is with Ruger's LCP? Large recall, 'fix it' issues... this pistol seems to have a so-so track record as far as quality off the line.

    Am I wrong ?

They started off pretty bad. seems the new slide had MUCH less imperfection. the kinks seem to have been worked out. atleast they are willing to work with everyone that had to deal with a bad part.

Well considering this is a relatively new pistol it will have problems as most new products do. Ruger has been very responsive to me in my past dealings and I think they will have this one up and running well soon. The Kel-Tec 3AT had some bugs too in the beginning, especially with the extractor and now they have made that little pistol a champ. Hang in there...they will get it right.

I sent a Ruger Security Six back a few months ago because the forcing cone was damaged. Although it was longer than a 9 day turnaround, they put a new barrel on it, refinished it, put new internals in so it was a super tight lockup and put an new rear sight on it because the finish was worn on the old on, all for FREE!

Ruger is my all time favorite and I will contiune to buy as many as I can. :rockwoot:
