Yeah yeah, I know there are a couple of threads going that make fun of Hi Points and their owners, but I'm pretty happy with them right now. I picked up a used C-9 for my first handgun because I was low on cash and wanted something to have fun with at the range that was in the same caliber as my girlfriend's XD9. It worked fine for about a hundred rounds, then over the next 50 or so started stovepiping with increasing regularity until the casing would FTE almost 50% of the time. After a quick call to Hi Point I shipped the thing back to them, and six days later it was back in my hands with a free magazine for my trouble. I finally got it out to the range last night and put 100 rounds through it without a hitch!
It's big, ugly, heavy, and doesn't hold very many rounds, but the customer service is top notch and I love shooting it--when it works. I'm anxious to get back out there and make sure it's really fixed. Don't worry though, if it craps out again any time soon you guys will be the first to hear about it (well, the second, right after the friendly HP Customer Service personnel).
