Sometimes I just do not understand politics. With all the out of control spending politicians stand behind to get their pictures taken, you would think military wives would be a win-win.

We're talking about a life insurance policy aren't we?

I don't think the government should be in the insurance business, or the retirement business for that matter.

Soldiers should take their own money and invest in the the private insurance policy that they want. Then the DOD can't jerk your grieving widow around.
