In case anyone is interested, the Indiana Guard Reserve is forrming a marksmanship unit. The unit will send teams to matches and hold it's own internal matches to promote marksmanship and skill at arms.

The older Colt frames have been known to crack after a lot of hard use. For me I can train with a steel frame gun and lighly use a lightweight for concealed carry. No problem.
I have a couple of government model 1911's, the one I'd really like to get is a lighweight commander in 45acp. Light, flat and accurate. Great carry gun.
