Which was immediately (during the same interview) corrected as an error. Seriously, go read a transcript of the McRae interview for yourself.
If that's the best you've got, then just turn your PC off for the night and spare yourself any further embarrassment.
Wow. You just went from demanding evidence to "well, he's hiding something". Do you have any standards whatsoever, or is it just whatever's convenient for your argument at the time?
Maybe. Death panels actually already exist; we call them insurance companies. Anyone telling you that we can take finite resources and use them on an ever-expanding population without some kind of rationing is lying to you.
But until then, I don't see the point in actively making things worse...
The first rule of holes: if you find yourself in one, stop digging. I don't see how the solution to our unsustainable population is for me to pop out another parasite.
So, 9.5%, or 19% (less whatever I'm paying in healthcare)? This isn't exactly a doomsday scenario.
Also, this is what I love about discussing progressive taxation. You opened by telling me I'd be living on just $18k:
and a few posts later, it's more like, "well, you could lose 9.5% of your...
54.2% would be the new top marginal rate. My marginal rate would be going from 25% to 27.2%. Even assuming that the entire 2.2% goes straight to my effective vs marginal, i doubt I'd even notice.
If you're still going on about the President of the United States being a Kenyan, then I don't think you have any standing to criticize anyone else's familiarity with the truth.
I don't think that's true of all of Sanders' supporters. I'm well aware that his plans would be paid for out of my pocket. I'm just not all that bothered by it, is all. Most of the other Sanders supporters I know are similarly gainfully employed.
The same thing I'd ask Wayne LaPierre.
"There's a significant credibility gap in the issue of gun [control/reform]. Firearm owners don't consider the government a trustworthy partner in removing guns from the streets. Gun control advocates don't consider gun owners to be interested in reducing...
I don't think it's unreasonable to demand consistency. Personally, I don't think suicides should count in the gun violence stats. But I don't think this is a call for violence, either.
I'm not using the Constitution in Obama's defense. What I'm doing is expecting you to be consistent. I see no exceptions in the 8th Amendment just because the thought of forcibly sodomising the President amuses you.
