Don't remember any incidents like this in my hometown Kroger in Columbus.

I see the questioning of number 2 above. I had not even thought about that scenario. From my understanding most Illinois residents that do carry, carry the gun in a small fanny pack or backpack with the gun empty and the magazines full...
Pull the magazine out, remove any chambered round and place it all together in a box, a bag, case, or anything that hides it and you are good to go, even on your person:

I'm waiting for mine to come in. Sent a money order on Tuesday, probably won't get a chance to pick it up until next week though. Had been considering a new Glock 23, but couldn't pass on this deal. I hope I get a good one.

Hog Bottoms: Within Bartholomew county: Take US 31 North of Columbus to Taylorsville. At the light in Taylorsville go West on Tannehill Road. Cross the Driftwood river and turn North onto 330 West, you just entered Hog Bottoms.
There are no Wild Hogs there.
