      NFA Timelines Thread

Update… just got my approval notice today for my suppressor. I sent in my Form 4 in March, I contacted Erin Houchin’s office on July 29th and approval came on August 6th. I would recommend that anyone that has been waiting for a transfer to contact your Representative’s office.

Most important part of physical fitness (In your opinion)

Over 60 and my main focuses these days are core strength, flexibility, and no injuries. I don't use free weights anymore. I typically do some machines, some body weight, and some resistance bands and then do quite a bit of yoga based stretching with the main emphasis on hip flexors and hamstrings.

      NFA Timelines Thread

Well, I did contact Erin Houchin's office and they responded back quickly. They required me to fill out a privacy release form and they will be contacting ATF. I'll report back when I find out what if anything happens.

      NFA Timelines Thread

I'm thinking the same as Creedmore stated above on this issue. My first NFA transfer in the '90's took less then 90 days which was pretty standard back them. My last NFA transfer in 2017 took 14 months which was pretty regular then. Today if transfers are routinely being approved in a matter of...

Foot Sweeps and Trips for Self Defense (AKA In The Streets)?

Military combatives in the '80's taught several takedown and foot sweep techniques. I have had occassion to use them several times over the years especially when dealing with intoxicated subjects. As has been stated above, they are most effective against untrained fighters.

Help me understand 12GA loads for 3 gun or Steel Competition?

1 or 1 1/8 oz, 2 3/4 dram or 3 dram load in the specified shot size will cover 95% of anything you'll need for 3 gun. If you get into it regularly you'll probably also want to get a heavier load for the few targets that might be more difficult. Also make sure that your Beretta runs reliably...
