I also have 7mm pupils, and that's the problem. When the pupil opens larger than then corrected (refractive) ablation zone, halos can start to show up.
I tried polarized lenses and they have no effect. External glare isn't the problem, it's the additional internal reflections within the eye...
6 months later, I still see halos. The only time it's really a problem is when driving at night. Like you said, there are red halos around taillights and also "headlight-colored" halos around oncoming headlights. When driving on the interstate at night, with lot's of far-off oncoming traffic...
If you own a private (members-only) bar, then the decision should absolutely be up to the ownership/membership. But if it's a business open to the public, then it's a different situation.

I think it's more about protecting the rights (health) of the workers in the restaurant than taking rights away from the patrons.
It's kinda like shooting a gun - it's ok to do as long as you aren't in a restaurant doing it to someone else without thought or care.

Dr. Price did my surgery. Unfortunately, my vision was so bad that my only option was the Implanted Contact Lens. The good news is that I now see 20/10. I do notice some halos at night due to the fact that I have big pupils, but still a big improvement overall. Dr. Price is the one who teaches...
Something else to note is that Votex has great customer support. I've read numerous posts of them responding to customers and resolving issues quickly.
I went for the SPARC because of the smaller red dot.
HCTM put on an awesome show. I prefer seeing them at the Vogue in Indy on Halloween. The Murat Egyptian room has a more fitting name, but not the right atmosphere.
The Neil Diamond show was Halloween 2004 at The Patio. I don't know that he's played with them since, but it was an awesome show.
