As stated before the techs in these stores are just hired hands claiming to know it all, and to someone that is new to knives, guns, fishing equip. They sound believable. Do your research before you purchase and you'll learn way more info. And get into arguments with the "techs".lol
I've always had great luck with a smith's diamond stone. I have a few knives with s30v and they're cake to sharpen. Love the way they hold an edge. Just pay attention to blade angle. Make sure you keep it the same.
I would say that the average size is diffenitly up.. I've been seeing some pretty nice size yotes the last couple years.. I shot one last year that went 64 lbs.
They make some nice guns for the money. Wife hunts with .44 mag. It takes a custom load to be accurate. And I also have a 12 ga ultra slug, that will throw a slug dang good!
