I had one my first week of police academy down in Plainfield and it was terrible. They made me wear it in a vial around my neck for the rest of academy.
The handguards are the only difference between the Elite and the Pro. I personally like the aluminum handguard of the Elite so it matches the weight of my standard ARs better. It's actually heavier than one of my ARs.
There are also a lot of other polymer parts on both models such as the...
The M4-22 takes standard AR triggers, safeties, and furniture (on serial numbers above 20k, which was years ago). It also takes milspec buffer tubes, forward assists, take down pins, dust covers, and mag release buttons. There are proprietary parts, sure, it's a 22... but they are all readily...
I don't care to really throw anyone under the bus (Actually, I do, but I won't here). To put it as vaguely as possible, it's an issue with the owner of the biggest gym in the area. The owners of the few other local BJJ gyms are friends of his, so we aren't really welcome at any of them. I looked...
A group of us just go to the local YMCA and roll several times a week. To make a long story really short, we have been "shunned" from all the local BJJ gyms and ended up just meeting there. I've been injured and just used my regular health insurance. I've never met anyone that was really into...
We shoot inside junk cars every once in a while at the range at work. It is brutal. I always double up on the ear pro, but that doesn't help with it rattling your skull. It is quite entertaining, though. I can't imagine doing it in combat without earpro.
I have both. I don’t think you can really go wrong with either one, but I like the dial settings on the micro over the buttons. The RDS replaced the PRO I had on my previous issued rifle and I haven’t beat on it as hard yet. My only issue is the battery that came in the RDS only lasted about...
It is odd. I have three or four of the Protac HL-X dual fuel models and have not had an issue with any of them and I only use the rechargeable batteries.
Throw the Vortex in the trash, put a PRO on it, and shoot it until you can put a better rifle under it.
We have beaten a lot of Aimpoint PROs over the years and never had one fail. For the money I don't think you'll find anything as good.
