@Miller Tyme So that's where all the PU's went lol, amazing collection, I'm waiting on a friend to sell his PU, fingers crossed. The VZ 54 is interesting, the stock came like that from the upgrades?
Beautiful gun! The wear/finish on the holster really catches the eye. The latest imports of post war 38's have been tempting but I am holding off to hopefully find a wartime one like this. Did it come with bring back papers?
Yeah they are sitting in my cart lol, I am going to the OVMS military show in June so if I don't find any there for a decent price, Ebay will be the way to go.
Thanks, and I have ammo for all but the Berthier (need to get some enbloc clips first) and the Vetterli since 10.4 Swiss hasn't been commercially made since the 50's-60's. 500 rounds of 8mm was bought when I got the Turk Mauser and just the other day I was able to get a spam can of 7.62x54R for...
Milsurps are really the only guns I have save for 3 modern 22's. My thought process is all of the modern guns will be around just like the milsurps were years ago so why not get the older one's while they're still "affordable". First milsurp was a 91/30 that my girlfriend bought me for Christmas...
Quite jealous, and the condition of the rifles you have are amazing! I started collecting some WW1 rifles myself and the variety of them is such a rabbit hole to go down.
Love them so I have three and plan on getting more. 91/30 made in '33, Finnish capture 1891 made in 1896 and rebarreled in '41 and an m44 carbine made in '44. There's so many varieties of them that I just can't get enough. Plus it makes buying ammo easy when a lot of your guns shoot the same...
Local LGS said they weren't ordering as many SIGS because of the lawsuits but they didn't go into detail. A quick internet search even said it was only SIGs built before 2017 I believe. One of those shops I don't care to go to if I can avoid it. I'm hoping more of these get surplused in the...
Adding on once more, snagged a Type 14 Nambu built July '44 and a 9mm Norinco Tok clone, excited to shoot both! Shop even had a box of 8mm Nambu for $50, a steal!
Have to agree with others here, don't change the stock, leave it be or sell it to a milsurp collector and get yourself a modern rifle if that's what you're wanting.
Got mine in December, have been able to bid on items out of state with it when they normally only wanted state residents bidding or FFL holders, definitely worth too if you have high transfer fees around you.
"6" guns added to the collection so far this year, 4 were mine and 2 the gf's. Finnish m91, Steyr made Polish M95 carbine, French Berthier 1907, VZ 52 pistol, VZ 24 rifle, and M&P bodyguard so its been a good year so far.
