      I hate poachers!

      I ran into a "photographer" when I was out hunting on a property I have permission on. I was up in the stand and he walked basically under me. I confronted him and he said he was just taking pictures of the snow on the trees...while carrying a 12 guage, no oragne, and no permission. I took...

      tracking deer in the snow

      I wasn't able to track any deer, but I did track a tresspasser to their house. Turned out to be a couple kids drinking on the property I hunt. After talking to their parents, I don't think they will be back.

      Poacher Avoids Jail - What's this telling me?

      I agree. How much is the rack worth from a buck like that. Probably a lot more than $500 and the cost of a gun! The chance of getting caught is so low that the punishment needs to be steeper as a deterant. I don't believe that jail is the answer because in the grand scheme of things it is...
