      No explaination necessary, I guess...

Without explaination, reason, or warning, or anything at all my post on the three knives I made for a family christmas present has apparently been deleted. I admit making a mistake in one of my posts, but I corrected it. I'm considering dropping out of this forum.

      Three hunters done for Christmas

...awww, shucks, I thought I might have just won the good housekeeping seal of approval. I should have known...I never win anything.

      SOG for EDC?

The SOG Trident would be a very good choice for an everyday carry blade. it's not too big that it would become a pain to have in a pocket, and yet its big enough to take on some medium duty chores. A lot of knives are job specific, but an edc needs to be able to take on multiple chores. I do not...

James Yeager - Mission Knives and Martin Knives with Chance Sanders

I have seen some of the mission knives and they are impressive to be sure. I had heard of Martin knives but have never seen any before. The martin they showed in the video seems to be one heck of a chopper though.

You make it sound as though she is quite critical.

9" OA 5/32 440c stainless w/ aluminum corbies and stainless tubes. The sheathes all have a howling wolf with the year inscribed in the bottom and the initials of the individual at the top and on the strap. I hope you like them.

      Christmas Kiridashi Giveaway.

I like the knife that Brad Pitt used in the movie "Legends of the Fall", and have plans to make one someday. If my number is chosen, I would like to defer to someone else...kind of a christmas pass along.

      Chicago bound EDC

I'm glad you like it. I like working with S35VN, it can be difficult to grind, but it doesnt have the tendancy to warp if you grind it thin like some of the other stainless materials I have worked with. CPM 154 is my all time favorite. Thanks for the kind words.

      Chicago bound EDC

You probably did. Unfortunatly I made the mistake of using my buisness/hobby name in my signature, so they took the post down and sent me a warning not to use it unless I was paying for the priveledge. That is why I posted an appology at the beginning of this post. Thanks for the kind words!

The new owner and his wife bought some property here in my area (near Howe, IN.) They are in the process of renovating the house and will be moving when it is completed. He said he wanted the knife for carrying when he moves here. I have no idea about the knife ordinances in Chicago. Good...

I want to appologize for inapropriately using my knife making logo in my signature line. I didnt read the rules thoroughly. It was my mistake. I would like to re-post showing you a knife I built recently. I am open to critique.....

      Rust Removal

Get yourself some Flitz (or other) metal polish. If it's merely minor surface rust it will buff out by hand with some good old elbow grease. After you have removed the rust, coat the entire blade with some car wax. Apply the wax the same way you would wax your car. Apply and then buff off by...

Who has had a LTCH license the longest

Yeah...I remember the thumb print and the letter of explaination. Does anyone know when the state started issuing carry permits?

Who has had a LTCH license the longest

How long have you had a LTCH? I have been carrying since 1985 / 86. Does anyone have a copy of one of the earliest licenses??? Just curious what they looked like.
