Absolutely. A .22 SA may be had cheaply, and is a wonderful way to teach children and new shooters some basics and not break the bank, with firearm or ammo purchase.

Not yet. A couple of years ago, I registered around mid-February, and didn’t get my badges until a couple of weeks before the Meeting. So don’t worry if that is the case!

Really excited. Have a day planned for me and my dad, and a day planned for the whole family. We went to the last Indy one and Louisville. Absolutely unbelievable how much stuff was there.
And yes, so much swag. :)

It’s not a caliber I shoot, so I was just curious in regards to some of the discussions I have had in passing.
I certainly understand you on avoiding “caliber clutter”! That’s been an ongoing goal of mine, as well.

I have seen some talk recently that .40 cal pistols don’t seem to be exactly on the upswing in popularity. That might mean some bargains short-term for those who dig .40, but does that match with what you have seen/heard, anecdotally? Have any manufacturers stepped back from producing .40...
I really enjoyed it. Not too crowded, decent ammo prices for a show, and I scored a nice new range bag for the wife. I also picked up some rounds from XCaliber (out of Cleveland, OH), that I'm anxious to try out.
That officer was absolutely courageous. I think in some cases, it shows a lot more courage to use restraint. I don't know that I would have been able to do the same, but I'm relieved he's ok.
I'll be curious to see how busy the show is, coming so close on the heels of the NRA Annual Meeting. I'm not sure if that will have any effect on budgets or not. :)
I almost bought one of those Chiappa .22 revolvers. I did buy a Bersa Thunder .380 for the wife.
Looked for a Chiappa Little Badger or Double Badger, didn't find one.
Found a pretty good deal on some .22LR, .380, and some 9mm. Picked up a bit of 7.62x54r, some MREs, and a new ammo can.
It was...
Tried to call ISP for my lifetime permit and the wife’s; got a recording saying they couldn’t divulge that info over the phone. Why do they even have the number on the ISP LTCH website?
Sent them an email. It’s only been two weeks, but my local LE says they’ve already sent everything over to...
Not necessarily, although I agree a lot of stuff is overpriced. You can still find deals now and again. I've found some private sale Nagants for low prices, and I picked up a SCCY CPX-2, NIB, for just under $230 at the last show. That's as good a price as I've seen. You just have to do your...
Looking at getting a .380 for the wife myself. Probably going with the Bersa Thunder. Right pistol for the money I'm looking to spend. I may need to go chat with them.
I wrote the governor and my local senator on a couple of firearm-related issues, and included this one with it. I figure it can't hurt to do so. I'm still thinking about taking the Florida class, but I'd sure like to see at least West Virginia open up. At least they're talking...
It might be tempting to “strike a deal”, but our rights are not bargaining chips to be gambled away. We have to be on the offensive, and in many states, we can see real progress, especially over the last decade. Our rights are endowed by our Creator, and that is all the inspiration or motivation...
-Chiappa is making some really cool stuff right now. I especially like the Little Badger and the Triple Threat.
-As hard as they are pimping the R51 (and they were at the show), it’s not getting very good reviews from most folks I’ve talked to.
-The SCCY dudes are pretty cool.
-Man, Uberti...
