always carry extra ammo, for semi auto if mag in gun screws up you have extra to do tact reload, and a rev you have 6,7,8 rds a reload might come in handy
I would like to have a sig but talking to some people and gun shop owners they will not fit 1911 holsters, and some don't like it's not a 1911 design, to me it's fine
revolver are good for the first time buyer, with a semi auto you need more training, clearing a jam, mag strings going bad, you just load a rev and it's good to go, if it is hammerless you can even shot thru your pocket, semi auto would jam up, also you can with a rev at close range I mean...
